C-Mac is Cottage Bar
Buncrana Golf Society Champion 2012.
Sunday 6th of May saw over 90 golfers tee-off in the
15th Annual Cottage Bar Buncrana Golf Society outing
at Strabane Golf Club. |

Set in the foothills of
the Sperrin Mountains, the Parkland course proved to
be a stern test even with the favourable weather
conditions. Brian Griffin (6) appeared on his way to
record his second title at the event carding 38
points, but was unable to hold on to the lead. It
was Cormac Doherty (18) who claimed his first
“major” with 39 points. The PGA had Rory Mc and
G-Mac crowned as US champions, now the Cottage Bar
has Cormac as its 2012 Champion. Society organisers
Liam McColgan and Liam McDaid of the Cottage Bar
would again like to thank all those who participated
& facilitated the event, including The Strabane Golf
Club for their warm welcome and hospitality
throughout the day. |
