Q. How do I ensure that I will be able to vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum?31.08.09 All Irish citizens aged 18 or over on polling day and living in
the State are entitled to vote in referendums. You must be
registered with the County Council. You can check the Electoral
Register for 2009/2010 at
www.checktheregister.ie . Copies of the Register are also held
in County Council offices, post offices, Garda stations and public
libraries. If you are not registered you can apply to be included in
the supplement to the Electoral Register. To be registered in time
to vote in the referendum on 2 October 2009, you should ensure that
the completed application form RFA2 reaches the Council by Tuesday
15 September 2009. Citizens Information: Buncrana 074 9363496; Carndonagh 074 9373741 |
