The results of the Rasheney FC annual draw on Sunday, May 4 were as follows: Shaun Doherty (J), Gortfad who scooped the fantastic prize of €10,000; Lochlainn Doherty, Doaghmore, I.O.D. won the trip for two to Las Vegas while John Doherty (Senior), Cregnagor won the 46” TV; Danielle, Denise, Julie and Aimee Bradley, 11 Burwood, Buncrana, won a week for two in Portugal while Crea Harkin, Ballyliffin won one year's membership for two for the Ballyliffin Lodge Fitness Club. Gerard Grant, Pollan Green, Ballyliffin got sixth prize of a marquee hire for 40 people while Phelim Davenport, 10 Gaddyduff won a laptop computer. Anna Mc Conologue, Coolcross scooped eighth prize of a spa pamper package at the Lodge Rock Crystal Spa while Kathleen Doherty, Cregnagor and Paddy Nelson, Ballybeg won weekends for two in Paris. Tenth prize of a mountain bike was won by Mary and Shaun Doherty, Ballymacmoriarty.

Ballyliffin Golf Club will be running a Child Protection Course on Thursday, May 29 between 6.30 pm and 10.30 pm. Anyone interested in participating in this course, please submit your name to the Ballyliffin Golf Club office by emailing trisha@ballyliffingolfclub.com  or by calling 074 93 76119.

The Blood Transfusion Service Board’s mobile unit will be at Carndonagh Community School on Wednesday, May 21 from 3pm to 4.45pm and again from 7pm to 9.30pm. The unit will be there again on Thursday, May 22 from 2pm to 4.45pm and from 7pm to 9.30pm. Blood donors are especially needed at this time to meet the needs of those who are depending on the resources of the transfusion service to be available to them.

There will be a sponsored walk in aid of the Alan Doherty Fund on Sunday, May 18 at 3.00pm. The walk will be leaving St Mary’s Hall, Clonmany going via Binnion, Tullagh, the Rusty Nail in Crossconnell and back to the hall again where refreshments will be served to all participants. Sponsor cards are available by contacting Eddie on 9376781 or Breege on 9376391. Later that night at 10.30pm there will be music and a raffle in James Tam's, Clonmany in aid of the same fund. All sponsor cards returned by that time will be entered into a special draw.

An Inishowen Gardening Club plant Sale will be held on Monday, May 26 at 7pm in Wesley Hall, Carndonagh. Come along for some great bargains in plants and garden sundries. The Club is running an outing to Dunmore House, Carrigans, on Sunday, June 8. The bus will leave from the Diamond, Carndonagh at 2pm. Competition: All the members present at the April meeting were given a Dahlia plant. They will bring in three blooms to the September meeting which will be judged by the guest speaker on the night.

There will be a public lecture in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, on Thursday, May 15 at 8pm. The lecture is entitled 'Depression and Alcohol: A Complex Interaction' and will be given by a panel of speakers. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. For further details call 9735030.

St. Joseph's Young Priests Society Annual Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on June 28. This pilgrimage is open to everyone; you don’t have to be a member to go on the trip. The winning numbers in the Sinn Fein Tir Chonaill Weekly Lotto Draw on May 7 were 5, 12, 13 and 14. There was no winner of the jackpot so this has risen to €2,850 next week. There were two Match 3 numbers who both won €50 - Niall Doran, Churchill and William Doherty, Malin

The Job Club Centre, Inishowen Partnership, are starting a new programme in Carndonagh and Buncrana. We welcome all those who are currently looking for a job to contact us. The Clonmany Tug-o-War AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Tuesday, May 13 at 9pm.

The new plan for Clonmany Market Square and its environs is now on display in Clonmany Post Office for all Clonmany’s residents to view.

An Activity Club for 5 to 12 year olds is beginning soon in Clonmany. Anyone interested please contact 0863336517 or 0861064173 Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm.

Accommodation is needed in the Ballyliffin area between Monday 16 June 2008 and Sunday 22 June 2008 for the Irish Seniors Open . Anyone with a suitable house to let in the Ballyliffin area can forward their details to Ballyliffin Golf Club on (074) 93 76119.

Community Games Athletics Training is now on in the community centre every Wednesday evening at 7pm sharp. Children must be age 7 years and over. Admission is €2.

Clonmany Youth and Community Resource Centre hosts badminton every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm and is open to all children from age 6 upwards. New members are always welcome. Keep-fit classes for women every Monday morning from 10am to 11am and Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8.15pm. There is also a keep-fit session for men every Wednesday evening from 8.30pm - 9.30pm and disco dancing on Wednesday evenings from 5pm – 6.30pm. Newcomers are always welcome. The numbers drawn in the Clonmany Shamrock’s Lotto on May 4 were: 3, 9, 16 and 23. There was no winner of the jackpot and this has now risen to €9,100. The winners of €20 were: Ann McGonigle, Meentagh Glen; Mark Gill, Murahay and Daniel/Jayden Logue, Magheramore.

The Urris Match and Win years drawn last week were: 1963, 1967, 1976 and 1983. The jackpot has now risen to €2,940. Dutch dance teachers Noor McGuigan and Akbar Helweg are to lead a unique dance workshop entitled 'Greening with Life' at the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation at Loreto House, Linsfort.
The workshop is part of the Dances of Universal Peace movement and include simple dance movements and meditation in song. The event will take place from May 23 to May 25. Fully residential fee is €190, Friday evening only is €12 and Saturday only is €50 including a meal. For further details contact Bev Doherty on 07493 74581.
