McCauley Properties opens third branch

McCauley Properties has been selling Inishowen for three generations.
Denis McCauley started selling properties in Inishowen as an auctioneer in 1920 and his son James took over in 1963, the McCauley name - with Leo McCauley at the helm since the early 1990s - has become synonymous with professionalism and integrity.

Nearly 90 years on, 2007 has provided another milestone for the long-standing business with the opening of a branch in Derry.

“Opening our third branch, in Derry, is the logical extension of our other two branches in Moville and Carndonagh,” explained Leo.
“It will be our base to further cover the North West including Inishowen, the surrounding border areas and Derry city and county as far as Limavady. We look forward to serving people in all these areas and indeed as far as Letterkenny.”

McCauley Properties specialises in residential and commercial properties and sites. In recent years, it has also branched into the overseas market.

A big part of the group’s success story is www.mccauleyproperties.com - a website set up in 2000 which now gets more than a whopping one million hits a month. The site has since been a major factor in the hundreds of successful deals completed by McCauley Properties.
Meanwhile, Leo believes the market in Inishowen has reacted positively to “adverse market changes” in recent times.

Yvonne & Carolanne at work in Moville “Successive interest rate increases, as well as a slight strengthening in the sterling rate constitutes two changes in the variables which were mostly constant over the last two to three years,” he explains.
“Rises in the interest rates obviously can affect the mortgage potential of buyers

and conversely can encourage people with money to invest in market-related products rather than property.
“The early signs, however, are that this isn’t happening. People are still borrowing money and putting any spare money they have into property investment.”  To visit McCauleyProperties.com click here
