FÁILTE Ireland is
hosting a workshop next Monday for people who let
out holiday homes in Co Donegal including Inishowen.
The workshops are part of the launch of the
nationwide 'New Vision for the Irish Self Catering
Sector'.
The event will provide information on the new
‘Holiday Homes in Ireland – ‘Your Holiday Your Way’
brand as well as the revised classification scheme.
This includes a number of revisions in line with
customer demand and a new 5-Star option.
A new self-assessment ‘Categorisation Scheme’ will
also be unveiled where operators can choose to
promote their property in a certain way such as
'Family Friendly', 'Walkers Welcome'. There will be
details of a dedicated training and development
programme.
Tracey Coughlan of Fáilte Ireland said: We realise
how difficult the operating environment is for
self-catering operators, something that is not
helped by an over-dependency on the domestic market.
I would urge self-catering operators in Donegal to
come to the workshop to hear all about the updates
and developments within the sector and to find out
what opportunities they can avail of.”
The workshop for Donegal will take place in the Mill
Park Hotel, The Mullins, Killybegs Road, Donegal, on
Monday, June 18 with registration from 10am-10.30am.
It will run until 3pm.
