THE popularity of the world's fastest man has sprinted to Derry with the launch of the B-OLT (Old Library Trust) Running Club. The club's quirky play on the Jamaican ace's name and theirs, was coined especially for next month's Waterside Half Marathon. More than 70 walkers, joggers and runners are currently in training to take on the 13.1 mile race.

Trust project director, Séamas Heaney, said: “We originally started out with just a few of us wanting to take up the challenge, but that has mushroomed beyond our wildest expectations and now there are over 70 people signed up to take part in the half marathon. The Waterside Half Marathon takes place on September 9th at 10.30am.
