Spirit of the '60s on Lough Foyle 22.08.13

MOVILLE and Greencastle are tuning up for the seventh DylanFest to be held in various indoor and outdoor venues over four days from tonight.
The popular Al-Diesan from Sardinia in Italy return this year along with Planeausters from Germany and Dublin's own Relics of Saint Valentine. Mickey ‘The Hat’ Roberts will arrive in the region from North Wales joining Irish and homegrown acts such as Ryan O’Dochertaigh, Kevin Brown and top local 'Dylanist', Paddy McLaughlin. Meanwhile, next weekend will see Ireland’s only annual festival of Beatles music - the BeatlesFest on the Lough - which will bring to an end eleven days of 1960s festival atmosphere in the seaside area. Festivals organiser Gerry McLaughlin said: “It’s going to be eleven days of fun to end the summer. The Sixties will come alive again for a week and a half in an idyllic part of Ireland."
Gerry McLaughlin.
Gerry urged as many revellers as possible to get in the spirit of the era with Sixties fancy dress and make-up.
