Auditions today for Donegal Youth
Choir

DONEGAL Youth Choir are
reflecting on their "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity"
after performing at this year’s Electric Picnic.
Accompanied by conductor Sara Laughlin, the local
youth choir joined young singers from several other
counties to form the 85-strong ‘One Voice’ choir.
The gig took place on the 'Music Generation' stage
last Saturday facilitated by Ireland’s National
Music Education Programme. |

The choir gave three
fantastic performances on Saturday before heading
off to the main stage area to see Hozier, Bombay
Bicycle Club and Paolo Nutini.
Meanwhile, if you would like to join Donegal Youth
Choir, auditions for new members are taking place
today Sunday, September 7 from 3pm – 4.30pm.
Run by the Donegal Music Education Partnership the
auditions will take place in the Regional Cultural
Centre, Letterkenny.
Membership is open to male and female singers aged
from 14 to 25. The choir rehearses every second week
on a Sunday afternoon in Letterkenny.
