STAR TREK actor Patrick
Stewart has topped a poll of people's favourite
Patricks for the second year running. The star who
played Captain Jean Luc Picard in the sci-fi hit
beat off competition from a host of other celebrity
Patricks in yesterday's online poll to mark the
patron saint's day.
Stewart took almost half the votes followed in
second place by fellow thespian Patrick Troughton
who played 'Doctor Who' in the 1960s. Comedy actor
Neil Patrick Harris of 'How I Met your Mother' fame
took third place.
Actors Patrick Dempsey, Patrick Swayze, Paddy
Considine and comedian Patrick Kielty polled
modestly as did actors Paddy Warburton, Patrick
Duffy and soccer star Patrick Vieira. The eponymous
man of the day himself, St Patrick, was barely at
the parade. |
