STEP training places up for grabs 02.09.14

MCA’s Support, Training and Enterprise Programme (STEP) in Letterkenny is currently recruiting for their September 2014 to July 2015 programme.
The 47 week full-time programme offers a full FETAC Level 4 major award in Employment Skills. There are components in Communications, Work Experience, Career Planning, Customer Service, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Functional Maths, Understanding Interculturalism and Team Working.
There are also two work placement components totalling six weeks within the course.
The aim of the programme is to support participants in gaining employment or accessing further education.
The programme is primarily aimed at early school leavers who are unemployed and between the ages of 17-25 years, having left school at least six months previously. Participants receive the equivalent of SOLAS training allowances and also receive a transport and meal allowance.
The course is funded by the Department of Education and Skills.
