GAA star Murphy to launch Darkness into Light 29.02.16

Donegal GAA Captain Michael Murphy will launch Donegal's suicide fundraiser Darkness into Light 2016 later this week.
Murphy will join Joan Freeman, founder of the suicide and self-harm crisis centre Pieta House, for the local launch in Letterkenny on Friday evening.
Darkness into Light is a unique, early morning fundraising event which begins in darkness at 4.15am as thousands of people walk or run a 5km route while dawn is breaking.
This year, the event will take place in more than 100 locations in Ireland and abroad including in the US, the UK, Scotland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand the Middle East and Asia.
This year's event, on Saturday, May 7, 2016, is set to be the biggest ever in Donegal with seven venues on board to host it including Donegal Town, Maghery, Letterkenny and for the first time Buncrana, Arranmore Island, Falcarragh and Tory Island.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Donegal launch at The Station House Hotel, Letterkenny, on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 7pm. Registration and route information will be available on the night or at dil.pieta.ie .
