Inishowen farm for sale at €17 million 08.06.16

ONE of Ireland's largest farms - An Grianán Estate in Burt - is on the market with a guide price of €17 million.
The huge 2,400 acre property is one of Europe's largest organic farms and is being sold by Savills, the 'Irish Times' reports today.
It said the estate agent is launching an "international marketing campaign later this week" to find a buyer for the unique estate which lies on the picturesque shores of Lough Swilly.
The farm is owned by Donegal Investment Group Plc. - formerly Donegal Creameries - and commands annual rental income and other revenue streams of some €500,000.
Most of the land is located in Speenogue, Burt, on the main Letterkenny to Derry road.
The estate includes the 500 acre Inch Lake wildlife reserve. It consists mainly of land reclaimed from Lough Swilly and the sea in the 19th century.
A number of top Irish household brands source their premium produce from An Grianán Estate including potatoes, wheat, oats and barley.
A big portion is also leased to the largest organic dairy farmer in the country. Savills spokesman Pat O'Hagan told the 'Irish Times' that there had already been a "high level of interest shown by potential buyers including investors, active farmers and farming companies".
