Buncrana jewellery recovered by
gardaí

GOLD rings, watches and
smartphones from Buncrana are among the items listed
as part of this week's Garda National Property
Recovered Day.
Gardaí co-ordinated the nationwide event yesterday
in a bid to reunite recovered property with its
rightful owners.
Among the items listed in the Donegal Division
including a women's gold-coloured Pulsar watch and
wedding band recovered in Buncrana on July 19, 2016;
a black smartphone recovered in Buncrana on May 1,
2016 and a blush-pink women's purse recovered in the
same town in August 2015. |

Meanwhile, a mountain
bike and a number of handbags are among the property
listed in Letterkenny.
"While most property recovered by An Garda Síochána
is immediately returned to its owners, particularly
in the recovery of property stolen in the course of
theft and burglaries, there are cases where An Garda
Síochána is unable to identify the owner and the
property remains in garda custody," said a garda
spokesperson.
Members of the public were invited to attend
selected garda stations in each garda division
yesterday where photographs of the recovered
property were on view.
