MS Europa cruise ship visits Greencastle 23.07.25

THE MS Europa cruise ship anchored off Greencastle today and passengers were ferried
by tender boats to the pier at Greencastle, where coaches waited to bring them on guided
tours of Inishowen, Derry and the North West.

Europa is currently on a 16 day cruise of the UK and Ireland. The ship departed from Hamburg, Germany on July 16 and it is due to return there on August 1st. The vessel arrived at Greencastle this morning from Oban in Scotland and will leave this evening, heading for Galway.
MS Europa is a luxury cruise ship operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, known for its high standards of service and amenities. It's a more intimate ship than many others, accommodating 400 passengers and 285 crew.
Europa features 204 suites and offers a wide range of amenities, including the Ocean Spa, fitness area, large pool, hot tub, Finnish sauna, steam sauna and various massage and cosmetic treatments.
Other cruise ships set to anchor off Greencastle in 2025 include Island Sky on 13th August, Seven Seas Grandeur on 21st August and Crystal Serenity on 9th September.
