WorkAbility is a programme for people aged 16 and over who identify as having a disability or who need additional support. The programme supports participants to develop skills, confidence and experience as they prepare for meaningful employment.

Delivered by award-winning social enterprise Spraoi agus Spórt in Carndonagh, the programme provides participants with opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence and take part in work-related activities.

The fundraiser has been organised by the participants themselves. It provides an opportunity for them to put their skills into practice while also giving something back to the local community.

Tanya, Rosie, Gillian and Angelina said: “Each of us has been part of Slí WorkAbility since summer 2025. During that time, we have grown as individuals and as a group. As part of that growth, we wanted to give something back to the community that has supported us on our journey.
“We are raising funds for the much-needed Carndonagh Community First Responders. We hope people will join us for a cup of tea and support this important local service. Everyone is welcome.”

A range of prizes has also been donated by local businesses, including Sandwich Co, Heel Bar, Diamond Cafe, Síol Aris, SoLo, ValuClean and Harmony Hair, along with additional prizes donated by staff and supporters.
Tea with Slí takes place on Friday, 28 August, from 11am to 1pm at Slí Carndonagh (formerly Naíscoil), Unit 3, Bridgetown Business Park, Carndonagh. Everyone is welcome.
