Burt's golden girl 22.06.10

BURT'S Special Olympian Lorraine Burke has done Inishowen proud after winning gold and silver at the national games.
When she went to Limerick last weekend as part of Team Ulster, to compete in the Special Olympics Ireland Games, young Lorraine took an oath.
That oath was: “Let me win. But If I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
Well, the Castlecooley athlete was not only brave but was a worthy winner too.
She won a gold medal in her throwing event and a silver medal in her running event.
The returning team bus did a triumphant tour of Letterkenny on Sunday night, complete with a Garda escort, as befits such celebrities.
And who knows, Lorraine might be even lucky enough to be selected for the 13th Special Olympics World Summer Games, in Athens next year.
Like her mum, Colette, dad, Paul, sister Charlotte and brothers Gerald and William, Burt is bursting with pride following her achievements.
