An American in Inishowen 07.04.10

AN American tourist has sent us some photographs he took while on a genealogical holiday in the peninsula last year.
Dan McFeeley, who discovered his roots in Carrowmenagh thanks to a book written by local historian John A McLaughlin, wanted to share his local photo journal with InishowenNews.com readers.
Dan, 55, from Illinois, and his daughter Rachel, were enchanted by the "stunningly beautiful" peninsula and its rich history. He was moved to learn about the legacy of the 1881 evictions in Carrowmenagh that prompted his great grandfather Michael McFeeley's emigration to America in 1885.
InishowenNews.com editor, Linda McGrory said: "We would like to thank Dan for taking the trouble to send us such an interesting selection of photos. We all know how beautiful Inishowen is, but it is very interesting to see
