"Beating led to brain haemorrhage" - PM 14.09.09

GREENCASTLE father of four, Paul Houston died from a brain haemorrhage following a severe beating, according to the official post mortem results.
The 51-year-old president of Greencastle Golf Club was attacked in the fishing village of Alvor in the Algarve in the early hours of Sunday, September 6.
He was on his annual golfing holiday with wife Celine and friends Philip and Marian Devlin when the tragedy happened.
A postmortem carried out on Tuesday at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Portimao by chief coroner, Dr Conceicoa Roubaco, confirmed the local businessman died from blows to the head. It is understood the chief suspects are two Brazilian men.
Mr Houston's remains were repatriated to Ireland from Portugal on Friday to repose at his late residence. His funeral will take place this morning with 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Ballybrack, Greencastle, followed by removal to the Chapel of Rest, Carndonagh Community Hospital, pending arrangement for cremation at Rose Lawn Crematorium, Belfast.
