BUNCRANA Mayor Lee
Tedstone is hopeful the arrival of a number of tour
visitors to the town last week from Northern
Ireland, will be just the first of many.
The visitors, who arrived in Buncrana as part of a
Dessie Lynch tour, enjoyed a terrific stay in the
seaside town and the local Mayor is confident about
future visits.
Since coming to office in June, Cllr Tedstone has
met with a number of tour operators from across
Northern Ireland to discuss the possibility of
coming to Buncrana and Inishowen and seeing what
they have to offer.
He explained that over the past few weeks he had met
with the managing director of Executive Travel and
Tours, Dessie Lynch to discuss the possibility of
bringing his visitors across the border to Inishowen
more regularly.
“Executive Travel and Tours, are an internationally
recognised tour operation. They bring people of all
ages from all over Europe to the whole Island of
Ireland. Buncrana and Inishowen now need to tap into
this," said Cllr Tedstone. |
