Daniel to open Loreto Flower Show 17.04.08

THE organisers of next month's International Flower Show at Loreto House, Linsfort, have scored a major coup by persuading Daniel O’Donnell to open the event.
Daniel O'Donnell. Speaking to the Inishowen Independent, flower show organiser Michael Gerard Doherty said people should act quickly if they wanted to get a ticket for the opening. But he added that they shouldn’t expect ‘a concert’ from the 'I just Want To Dance' singer.
“There are a limited amount of tickets for the opening ceremony on Thursday, May 1. You will need to contact Loreto House to book tickets,” said Mr Doherty.
The Kincasslagh singer agreed to open the Loreto flower show after he was approached by one of the Sisters at Loreto House, who is a friend of his family.
“It’s a big coup to get Daniel on board.
It’s going to blow the [show] out of all proportion,” added the Cockhill-based florist.
Welsh florist Rob Wallace has been added to a bill that already includes Japanese designer Kazihide Egawa, John McDonald, Christine Skipper, Milton Porter, Heather Shaw and Steve Betts, winner the first ever Oasis Academy Award. (Story: Inishowen Independent)
