Film-makers seek Inishowen people for new movie 01.04.08

MEN, women and children from Inishowen are being sought for a new film due to begin shooting in the peninsula in May and June.
The film-makers are looking for people of all ages for a range of paid roles in the €6m movie 'A Shine of Rainbows'.
Open auditions will take place in the Colgan Hall, Carndonagh, on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8 from 10am to 7pm.
"We need women aged 20 to 70; men aged 40 to 70 and children aged 7 to 12," said a film spokesperson.
"All the roles will be paid. Several of the roles will be significant with quite a lot of dialogue and we want local people for them," the spokesperson added.
'A Shine of Rainbows' is a heart-warming story of a lonely orphan whose life is transformed by a woman who teaches him to "conquer grief and discover the magic in nature and himself”.

Film director, Vic Sarin. The film will be directed by Emmy award-winning Vic Sarin, one of Canada's most distinguished cinematographers. The film is a British/Canadian/Irish collaboration and is being co-produced by Canada's Sepia Films in association with Octagon Films
in Bray and the Irish Film Board.
The film producers have been working closely with Donegal County Council's cultural development office in Carndonagh. The office's area manager Aideen Doherty told last month's Inishowen Electoral Area meeting that about half the film's budget - around €3m - would be spent in the peninsula. This includes finding local accommodation for the film crew. Around 17 two, three and four bedroom rental properties are being sourced by Franklin's estate agents in Buncrana.
For an audition appointment please call Maria on either Thursday, April 3 or Friday, April 4 on 074 9373 779 during office hours.
