Sports students' drive to get LYIT healthy 06.03.08

SPORTS students at Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) are in the middle of a drive to get the college more healthy.
The 'Focus on Fitness' fortnight in was officially launched this week by the chairperson of the Donegal Sports Partnership, Senator Brian O'Domhnaill.
It will see final year students from the Bachelor of Business in Sports Development and Coaching organise a range of activities to encourage more activity among staff at the institute.

The fitness programme of events will run until March 14.
Senator O'Domhnaill said: "This is an invaluable opportunity for the students of the Sports and Coaching Degree to develop their skills. I would like to commend the students and the Institute for their initiative." He said the initiative would help the students with their working lives. "This is a very worthwhile exercise that will help prepare these students for the task that will face them upon graduation."
