Sun a star attraction in Bunagee 16.07.07

THE sun was among the star attractions yesterday for the final day of the Culdaff Water Sports Society Weekend.
Large crowds gathered at Bunagee Pier from across the North West and further afield including Belfast, for the raft and kayak racing, live music and children's entertainment.
The action-packed weekend was held in memory of the late Brian Houten with all proceeds going to the life-saving work of the RNLI.
Ann Mills, Culdaff and her niece Caitlin, 1, enjoy the sunshine in Bunagee. It included a car treasure hunt on Friday, a sponsored cycle from Letterkenny to Culdaff on Saturday and a Duck Race and Over-40s football match between Culdaff and Gleneely, also on the second day.
However, it was the warm temperatures, unseasonal for July so far, that gladdened the hearts of the crowds who enjoyed ice creams and
cool drinks by the sea.
One of the organisers, Georgina Houten, said she was "delighted" with the good turn-out, encouraged in no small measure, by the warm weather.
