Commission of Inquiry into Dunne tragedy 21.06.07

A Commission of Inquiry into the tragic deaths of Burt woman Ciara Dunne, her two children and husband has been appointed.
Gardai initially concluded that Adrian Dunne killed his wife Ciara and his two young daughters, Leanne, 5, and Shania, 3, before hanging himself.
The setting up of the Commission was delayed as a result of the recent General Election and dissolution of the Dail.
Both the O'Brien family in Burt and the Dunne family in Wexford have now been informed of the appointments to the Commission of Inquiry.
The three-person committee into the shocking murder/suicide is to be chaired by Cork-based barrister Kate Brosnan, who is also a former nurse.
She will be assisted by retired Garda Commissioner Jim McHugh and the head of the Citizen's Information Board, Leonie Lunny.
