Voting tonight in Carndonagh 08.11.07

VOTING gets underway this evening in a poll to elect six community representatives to Inishowen’s new funding and development company.
A total of 24 candidates are contesting the seats on the board of the company - formed with the merger the Inishowen Partnership Company and Inishowen Rural Development Limited.
More than 200 organisations have registered voters to cast ballots on their behalf tonight beginning at 7pm at Carndonagh Public Services Centre.
These voters are reminded they must have photo ID with them such as a driving licence or passport.
"Ballot papers will only be given out to registered voters and the ballot boxes close at 10pm," said a spokesperson.
The election will be by Proportional Representation and will be overseen by Donegal County Council. The local authority will also conduct the count, which starts at 10am on Friday, November 9. For a full list of the candidates, click here .
