New rooms for Donegal mums-to-be 16.07.07

Four new delivery suites for expectant mothers will open at Letterkenny General Hospital at the end of July. The opening of the suites was delayed for some time but management at the hospital have given Donegal North East T.D., Deputy Niall Blaney assurances the facilities will open in the coming weeks.

Deputy Blaney said: “These four delivery suites will ensure that each expectant mother will be comfortable and in private conditions in the lead up to the birth of their child or children. “Added to the new dedicated maternity theatre already open in the Labour Unit, these delivery suites will mean that Letterkenny Hospital will enjoy some of the best facilities of this kind in the country.” The Fianna Fail T.D., added: “The delay

in opening the new suites was unavoidable and I have been assured by management at the hospital that Donegal women will be able to avail of these facilities before the end of July."
