Bathing and BBQ days in Inishowen 07.06.07

The barbecues and bathing costumes are out again as the sun smiles on Inishowen.
Golfers, yachtsmen and women, farmers and festival organisers are out in force as temperatures soar.
As they say, "it's real exam weather" - typical for the 700 Leaving and Junior Certificate students who are currently sitting exams at the peninsula's four second level schools, Carndonagh Community School, Moville Community College, Crana College and Scoil Mhuire, in Buncrana.
Unfortunately for them, the forecast over the coming days is for warm, mostly sunny weather after some early mist or fog. Highest temperatures will be between 20 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius with cooler sea breezes along the coast. Moville yachts on the Foyle at Magillian Point.
And according to Met Eireann, the weekend is looking good too - mostly warm and dry with good spells of sunshine.
"There's a risk of a few showers here and there and there may be some cloudy periods at times," forecasters say.
Meanwhile, daytime temperatures will range from 18 or 19 degrees along coasts with temperatures expected to reach a whopping 25 degrees in some places on Sunday.
This is good news for the organisers of the Inishowen Vintage Agricutural Show at the Carrick Field overlooking the Foyle in Moville.
Hundreds of visitors are expected at Sunday's event for displays of vintage farm machinery and traditional methods of farming.  As always, this will be a great family day out and an opportunity for the local community to get together.
